How to create presentation
Presentation tools allows to create a virtual tour around the points of interest in your project and share it with the desired audience.
Presentation consists of slides. Each slide has a list of configurable parameters described bellow:
- Position - a point in a 3D scene, representing the point of interest;
- Point of view - position and orientation that the camera will fly to, when viewing the slide.
- Name - an optional name of the slide;
- Description - an optional description of the slide;
Please note that presentation data takes storage space..
To create a new presentation slide enter the presentation editing mode by left-clicking on the tool's icon in the top right corner of the window and then click on the point of your interest in a 3D scene - an indexed name will be automatically generated for the slide, 3D viewer's camera position and orientation will be saved as slide's point of view.
To change slide's position in a presentation slides order drag and drop it to the desired position in the Presentation properties pane on the right.
To change slide's name of description before saving, left click on the corresponding field in the Add slide pop-up and fill in the field.
To change slide's position in 3D scene before saving, select its point and drag in a 3D scene when Add slide pop-up is opened.
To change slides point of view before saving, set 3D viewer's camera to desired position and orientation and click on the Save point of view button in the bottom left corner of the Add slide pop-up.
To save the slide, click on the Save button represented as check mark in the bottom right corner of the Add slide pop-up.
To cancel slide creation, left click on the Close button, represented as cross icon in the top right corner of the Add slide pop-up.
Edit presentation slide
To edit presentation slide, select its point in a 3D scene, on in the Presentation tool properties pane on the right - an Edit slide pop-up will appear.
To change slide's position in a presentation slides order drag and drop it to the desired position in the Presentation properties pane on the right.
To change slide's name of description left click on the corresponding field in the Edit slide pop-up and fill in the field.
To change slide's position in a 3D scene select its point and drag in a 3D scene when Edit slide pop-up is opened.
To change slides point of view, set 3D viewer's camera to desired position and orientation and click on the Save point of view button in the bottom left corner of the Edit slide pop-up.
To save the slide, click on the Save button represented as check mark in the bottom right corner of the Edit slide pop-up.
To delete slide, left click on the Delete button, represented as bucket icon in the bottom right corner of the Edit slide pop-up. To undo slide deletion, left-click on the Undo button appear on the bottom left side of the window.
To delete all slide in the presentation, left click on the Delete button, represented as bucket icon in the top right corner of the Presentation tool properties pane on the right. To undo all slides deletion, left-click on the Undo button appear on the bottom left side of the window.
View and share presentation
To make presentation available for viewing to you and those who you shared the project with, including those how have an access to embed project, it is required to active Show always mode for the presentation.
By default Show always mode is not active, so presentation is only available for the project's owner, when the Presentation tool is active.
To active Show always mode for the presentation enter the presentation editing mode by clicking on the corresponding tool icon in the top right corner of the window. Then, in the Presentation tool's properties pane on the right, switch Show always to active mode.
When Show always mode is active, presentation is available both to the project's owner and those with whom the project has been shared with by default. Presentation slide's points will be displayed in a 3D scene, presentation control bar will be available in the bottom of the window.
When virtual tour is ready you may want to share it with designated people or even to embed it into some web resource. Refer to the "How to share processing results" article for a detailed tutorials on this matters.
How to navigate in a 3D scene in the first person mode
First person navigation may be helpful when inspecting a digital twin of a specific location or interior of some building. The first-person navigation mode with the keyboard is available by default when viewing the project.
Key bindings are described below:
- W - move forward
- S - move backward
- A - move left
- D - move right
- Q - move up
- E - move down
- Left SHIFT - accelerate
- Arrow Up - look up
- Arrow Down - look down
- Arrow Left - look left
- Arrow Right - look right
