Introduction
Metashape performs all processing steps locally without need of Internet connection. Nevertheless, some optional features like cloud processing support, satellite base map layer display and online publishing features require access to various Internet servers.
If you are using Metashape inside of a closed network with a firewall blocking Internet traffic, you may need to allow access to certain Internet services to be able to use some of these optional features.
Agisoft Cloud
Agisoft Cloud service allows to perform photogrammetric processing in the cloud, which is useful if you don't have enough local processing resources available.
Agisoft Cloud processing feature requires access to the following servers:

Base map layers
Base map layers are used to display a globe in the Model view or as a background in the Ortho view.

Online publishing services
Metashape supports upload of processing results to various online publishing platforms. The servers used for upload depend on a particular service:
