We strongly recommend to deactivate Metashape license before updating or re-installing OS or changing the hardware components on the computer where Metashape is activated. Also, deactivation is recommended in the end of working session on the Virtual Machine.
To deactivate the license use Deactivate button in Help Menu > Activate Product dialog or --deactivate argument in the command line (terminal) to Metashape executable.
