Node-locked license (Stand-Alone or Educational) can be moved from one computer to another via deactivation/activation procedure.
To deactivate Agisoft Metashape on the initial machine please navigate in Metashape window: Help menu > Activate product command > Deactivate button. Once the license is deactivated you may run the activation procedure on another machine: Help Menu > Activate product command > enter license key> press Activate product button.
Activation and deactivation are also possible from the command-line (terminal) using --activate or --deactivate arguments.
For example:
on Windows
metashape.exe --activate 11111-22222-33333-44444-55555 metashape.exe --deactivate
on Linux
./metashape.sh --activate 11111-22222-33333-44444-55555 ./metashape.sh --deactivate
on macOS
you need to run the executable from the application bundle contents in the following way:
MetashapePro.app/Contents/MacOS/MetashapePro --activate 11111-22222-33333-44444-55555 MetashapePro.app/Contents/MacOS/MetashapePro --deactivate
The same license is valid for Windows, macOS, or Linux - you just need to download the correct installation package from
http://www.agisoft.com/downloads/installer/
Please note, that de-installation of Agisoft Metashape does not deactivate the license automatically.
If you have uninstalled the software before deactivating it, please re-install Agisoft Metashape and run the deactivation procedure, as described above.
On Windows OS Agisoft Metashape (starting from version 1.6 ) is trying to perform the license deactivation automatically when the application is being uninstalled. However, we still recommend to perform the deactivation procedure manually before uninstalling the application, as automatic deactivation attempts may still fail for some reason (for example, if there are no access rights or Internet connection).
