Metashape supports 3D controllers for navigation in Model view. In this article, we describe examples of how to set up a 3D Spacemouse controller. Below you may find an illustration of two different devices - both are suitable for Metashape.
It is recommended to set the parameters for the available 3D controller on the Navigation tab in Metashape Preferences dialog window as described in the procedure below. Select Tools > Preferences and open Navigation tab:
1. Enable HID-compliant controller using the corresponding checkbox and click Apply button:
And click Apply button.
2. Click Update button to display all connected controllers in the drop-down list. Select the desired device:
3. In the Controller Settings section set functions for controller buttons: to assign a new function, double-click on the corresponding line and select preferable function from the drop-down list:
4. Click Apply button in the Navigation tab of the dialog to apply all the changes and close the Preferences window.
